how do I place an order?
look through the range - our products are arranged by season so if you are looking for a specific style i.e. skirts, we suggest you look through each season.
add products to your cart and when finished go to checkout and follow the instructions.
do I have to log in to your website?
no, you can shop as a guest without having to log in. however if you have a voucher with a coupon code for a discount you will have to create an account to use the coupon.
can I request to have a catalogue sent to me?
yes you can, we send out catalogues twice a year and to request a copy click here.
what do I do if I have a gift voucher?
shop for the products you would like, go to checkout and enter the coupon code from your gift voucher. the website will automatically deduct the amount of your coupon, if the total is more than the voucher you can pay the difference using a credit card – or internet banking.
how do I pay for my order?
the quickest and easiest way to receive your goods is to pay by Visa or MasterCard. we use a secure server to safe guard your details from internet baddies. or you can choose to pay by internet banking; if you do you will receive our bank account details after you place your order.
how much will I be charged for delivery?
we offer free delivery in New Zealand and Australia on all orders over $199. For orders under this amount freight is $7 within New Zealand and $12 to Australia. There is also a Click and Collect option for those living in or traveling to Christchurch. Click and Collect items are available for pick up from our flagship Tannery store, 3 Garlands Way, Christchurch during shop opening hours.
we offer free delivery to the rest of the world on all orders over $299. For orders under this amount freight is $25.
NB: All parcels within New Zealand are sent by tracked courier.
Overseas parcels are sent by NZ Post International mail, overseas parcels are not tracked but can be sent by International tracked courier for an optional fee of NZ$30.
what currency can I use to pay for my order?
our website only accepts NZ dollars, your bank will convert your transaction into your local currency.
what if the product I order doesn’t fit or the colour is wrong?
please send it straight back to us (unused, carefully packaged) so we can organise a speedy exchange or refund. while we do not cover your return shipping costs we are happy to ship your exchange garment for free.
what happens if the item I receive has something wrong with it?
in the case of a suspected fault please send back to us, don’t forget to tell us what is wrong. we will repair, replace or credit the garment price if we determine it to be a fault of our manufacturing.
why are some products already sold out in my size by the time I get an email or catalogue from you?
because we are a tiny team working hard to produce the best creative and ethical lifestyle fashion and are often constrained by fabric availability and local manufacturing costs we do only make some styles in limited quantities and size ranges. if the product you would like is out of stock please email us here.
we can let you know which of our stockists has the product you’re after and sometimes if all the planets align and the moon is in the right phase we are able to rerun a popular style and then we all dance around and rejoice.

if I give you my details will my inbox be assaulted with offers from other websites I have never heard of before?
no. we will only ever use your name, address or email to send out catalogues, newsletters and any orders you place.
we will not ever give any details to any other organisation ever - even if they offer us our own personal maids, endless good looks and a free dinosaur.
If I have a item that I bought from a online sale, or sale that occurred at the chalkydigits shop located at The Tannery, what would happen if the item is incorrect in fit or does not suit?
T+C's: We cannot exchange or refund any sale items so please choose carefully. We will replace or refund any item which is deemed to be faulty.
If we cannot supply an item we will contact you to offer an alternative, if nothing is suitable you will receive a refund to the card you used for payment, please check the invoice on the outside of your parcel for details.
